🤑 How To Elevate Your Career and Paycheck: Own Your Imperfection.

laura61976

My friend recently showed me how being unapologetically honest about who you are—and who you're not—can lead to extraordinary opportunities.

She was interviewing for a role that could elevate her career, and instead of presenting a polished but incomplete version of herself, she laid it all on the table.

She said:

"If you want someone to build customer relationships and drive business development like no other, I'm your person. And, I'll need support with the technical and analytical aspects of the position."

The hiring manager was floored. Her passion, clarity, and genuine ownership of her strengths and gaps didn't just land her the job—it landed her a 70% pay increase!

Here's what I took away from her story:

🌟 Know your energy sources.

Not everything fuels you, and that's okay. When you know what energizes you and what drains you, you can operate in your zone of genius.

🌟Own your truth and attract the right fit.

Being unapologetically authentic about your strengths and challenges signals confidence and inspires trust. It also ensures you find opportunities that align with who you truly are.

🌟Let go of what doesn't serve you.

Sometimes, staying true to yourself means walking away. If a role demands too much of what drains you, it's worth considering whether the opportunity aligns with your long-term goals and well-being.

Now let's see if how well you are serving yourself & your career:

❓ Do you know what energizes you and what drains you?

❓ Are you showing up authentically in your career?

If you're unsure or want to dive deeper into aligning your career with what matters most to you, this is my specialty. I'd love to help you discover your next big move- let's connect! https://lnkd.in/dfn38-cM
